Recently, I visited Chinatown Singapore to get some stuffs as well as exploring as it had been a while since I last came. Usually, I always come here after office hours to grab dinner as there are a lot of good food here in Chinatown!

From Pick & Bite Cafe, you can see the yellow and green People’s Park Complex. It used to be in another bright color as well, I remembered it was orange and green. Wah!

Upper level of People’s Park Complex are rows of shop dealing with textile and tailoring stuffs.

People’s Park Food Centre. Look at the queue lining up at the famous Yong Xiang Xing Yong Tau Foo (永祥兴豆腐) stall!

Look at the folks queuing up for foreign currency exchange – People’s Park Complex seems to be a popular area to do foreign currency exchange. Just remember to check out the rates before committing. I usually do my foreign exchange at The Arcade or Mustafa (because of 24hr operation and online viewing of rates).

At Temple Street, there is a popular dessert shop which goes by the shopname of “Traditional Desserts” (味香园甜品).

Smith Street is closed temporary for the Chinatown Food Street stalls to make use of the roads. Roads are off traffic from 6pm – 12am, Mon to Fri and 12pm – 12am, Sat, Sun and public holidays.

Sago Lane is also known as Street of the Dead, where all the death houses was previously located and the poor would come to die.
