A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

Another week have passed by. A group of folks handling some devices which I am not able to identify. From far, it’s looks like the drip used in hospital. LOL! Taken from my kitchen window.

A Week in Singapore 1

Having lunch at a restaurant (coffee shop style).

A Week in Singapore 1

Going through the menu and trying to determine what to order. Finally, decided on having Dim Sum.

A Week in Singapore 1

For starters – Shredded Chicken Porridge. Need to add a bit of soy sauce to bring it to taste.

A Week in Singapore 1

Then the whole load of Dim Sum arrived at the same time – Shao mai, har gow (shrimp dumpling), char siu baau, rice noodle roll (cheong fun) and lotus leaf rice (lo mai gai). Burp!!

A Week in Singapore 1

The Body Shop was having 20% store wide discount so I decided give Nettle Oil Balance Shampoo a try. So far it’s working well by removing excess oil but yet doesn’t irritate or dry up my scalp.

A Week in Singapore 1

Some food shopping from a local supermarket – 2 Fruit Tree juice at S$4.55 and 1 Kiwifruit Gold at S$4.15.

A Week in Singapore 1

Water fountain outside of VivoCity.

A Week in Singapore 1

Tangs was having a sale bazaar in VivoCity.

A Week in Singapore 1

The bridge leading from VivoCity to Sentosa. The construction that is on-going on the right is “Resort World at Sentosa“.

A Week in Singapore 1

Walking towards Brotzeit which is a German bier bar and restaurant. Bier is the German and Dutch word for beer.

A Week in Singapore 1

After ordering the food, I took a shot of the interior of Brotzeit. It’s a nice and cozy place with good food and beer too!

A Week in Singapore 1

Wurstplatte (sausage platter) at S$32.50++. Consists of spicy chicken sausage, pork bratwurst, cheese sausage, weisswurst sausage and garlic sausage.

A Week in Singapore 1

Backhendlsalat at S$19.50++.

A Week in Singapore 1

Pork Knuckle S$36.00++. It’s roasted until the outside is very crispy yet retaining the juices! Goes very well with beer!

A Week in Singapore 1

Original Münchener Lager Paulaner S$17.10++ (before 5pm). Actually intended to get 0.5 liter but ordered 1 liter wrongly instead. Ha ha!

A Week in Singapore 1

Trying out a Vietnamese instant coffee mix from Vinacafe while reading Starbucked by Taylor Clark.

A Week in Singapore 1

Was at Bishan Junction 8 walking around until I felt the urge to fill my stomach with some snacks. Initially, wanted to go for cold dessert but changed my mind later.

A Week in Singapore 1

Had Takopachi (Japanese octopus ball) instead. S$2.30 for 3 balls.

A Week in Singapore 1

Most of the time, I asked for take-away dinner and eat at home in front of the television. One of my favorite food – Seafood Hor Fun S$3.50. The freshly-cut red and green chilli are added by me. Haha!

A Week in Singapore 1

Managed to spare some time to flash the ROM for my HTC Touch Diamond. Before – HardSpl 1.24, Dutty’s V3.5 WWE [WM 6.1 Build 20764.1.4.3] and Radio 1.00.25.05. After – Unsigned 1.40 OliNex, DeepShining 8.0 Service Pack 0.3 and Radio 1.09.25.23. Running fine except there’s a few minor flaws but I am still pretty satisfied with it. For more details on flashing, go xda-developers.com.

A Week in Singapore 1

Ikan Satay that my brother bought during his trip to Malaysia. I had eaten this snack before and based on my memory, it wasn’t such a tiny piece. It must have shrunk over the years! Wahaha!

A Week in Singapore 1

Having Hong Kong Food – Nissin Noodle with Egg and Ham S$5.80++.

A Week in Singapore 1

Hot and Spicy Noodles S$8.50++.

A Week in Singapore 1

Hot Yin Yong (a blend of coffee and tea) S$1.80++.

A Week in Singapore 1

Lemon Coke S$2.90++.

A Week in Singapore 1

Baked Chicken Wings with Cheese S$5.20++.

A Week in Singapore 1

Something that I got in my mail box – it’s for you to stick under your armpit to test the degree of sweat! I didn’t try it but those who sweat a lot may want to try using Rexona (as per solution given above). 😛

A Week in Singapore 1

Usually we don’t go to huge departmental stores to get our fragrance as some smaller shops tend to have better pricing. Both are from Banana Republic – Alabaster for Woman S$85 and Slate for Man S$85.

A Week in Singapore 1

Another round of replenishing food at local supermarket. 🙂

  • The instant noodles and soup are for hungry situations
  • The evaporated milk is for my daily coffee making
  • The juice and soya milk is mainly consumed by my partner

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

LOL!

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

A Week in Singapore 1

On 9th August 2009, we celebrated Singapore 44th National Day. But I can still show you the decorations that the country put up during this period of celebration. The above photo is taken from my apartment window.
